About Us
Our
Story
In 2004 I visited Andalusia for the very first time and it was love at first sight...
"One day I'm going to live here" I promised myself.
In 2016, after some pitstops in Paris, Madrid and Brussels I made the big jump to move out here and my Andalusian story started.
I started volunteering in a dog shelter and on day 2 brought home a dog to foster, Hagar came into my life and the next morning I knew he was never going back. Together we started to explore the beautiful region we live in and I quickly realised I want to share my passion with the world.
Seeing the devastating consequences of mass tourism and endless construction along the coast, I decided I had to take action and make a difference . I moved into a van and the ONOU project was born, with the mission to promote & organise experiences in a more sustainable way with respect for nature, the local community and their culture.

Our Values
Giving back to nature and locals.
01
Eco-Friendly
By now you know that we prioritise the protection of the environment. We believe that even small actions can make a big difference.. That's why we are committed to using only in seasonal products during our food workshops and avoiding the use of single-use plastics. We encourage car sharing when people join our activities and we try to leave behind the smallest footprint possible.
Join us in our mission to preserve nature.
03
Working with locals
The Costa del Sol , just as many other tourist destinations, has been taken over by multinationals that open up luxury hotels, exclusive beach clubs and resorts. All with the promise to employ and work with locals. Unfortunately the reality is completely different but this silenced by local authorities.
We are here to make a change and only work together with smaller local businesses. For our food workshops we buy our ingredients directly for the farmers and we work with in season ingredients.
02
Socio cultural
Much is normally erased for the sake of modern beach culture, bars, shopping malls, fast entertainment and consumerism. Little attention has been paid to erecting quality, authentic and culturally-rich experiences that benefit both host and visitors. As a result, the majority of todays’ tourism destinations are unsustainable due to various factors such as too fast development and lack of consideration of sustainable parameters, such as the environment and local communities.
04
Pay it forward
Every time you book an experience with us you help to pay it forward. We use our benefits to help out local organisations such as dog shelter, social projects, organise beach cleans and give workshops to educate the younger generations about sustainability.
The companies we partner up with share the same philosophy and for each activity you book through our platform, they donate a percentage towards the ONOU project.
Who we support
Here are some of the projects and organisations we love to work with and who we support
SOS LOS BARRIOS
SOS Perrera Los Barrios is a dog shelter that is in constant need of help, people following our social media will know we often share their posts and stories. They urgently need money to move to a new site so they are sheltered from the floods that happen every time it rains.
SIN PLASTICZAMOS
Nowadays, recycling has become a topic of maximum interest for society and the economy and it is the best means we have in our hands to stop the deterioration of our planet. However, it is still one of society's pending tasks, as we are told every day; that is why we must continue to be aware of the damage we are doing to the ecosystem with our actions and realize that the future of our planet is in serious danger.
VERDEMAR
Verdemar Ecologists in Action is a non-profit environmental association founded in 1987 and implemented throughout the Campo de Gibraltar. The association arose due to the serious deterioration of the environment in the region.
From the beginning it has a great human support and a broad organizational character, which drives it to join the Ecologist Federation Pacifist Gaditana, in the CEPA and CODA.
